The girls team continues to peform to the best of their abilities despite injuries to several key athletes. I’m so proud of how they pull together as a team and do their best. Placing 2nd in the meet now moves the girls team to 2-2. Some highlights of the meet were:
-Bridgett Deardorff had another great day, winning the 2 mile (14:22), helping the 4×800 team win, and placing second in the mile (6:13).
-Precious Swen won the long jump with a 13’10, and then did not compete for the rest of the meet due to injury.
– It was great to have Tori Skaggs back in action, who placed 2nd in the 100 hurdles (19.9), third in the 300 hurdles (58.9), and helped the 4×100 and 4×400 place second.
Adaline Russel had two first place finishes also. She won the 800 with a 2:43, and was on the winning 4×800 team. She also was on the 4×400 team which placed 2nd.
Emma Gruet placed 3rd in the 400 with a time of 1:07, and was on the winning 4×800 team, and on the 2nd place 4×400.
