Elkhart Christian Academy Struggles To Find Groove Against Bethany Christian
Elkhart Christian Academy struggled to get their offense going on Saturday, getting easily dispatched by Bethany Christian, 14-4.

Elkhart Christian Academy scored four runs in the fifth inning. CJ Lieby and Matthew Elmerick all drove in runs in the frame. LJ Bevier led Elkhart Christian Academy with two hits in three at bats.

Bethany Christian scored nine runs in the fourth inning. Ethan Boyer, Breece Erickson, James Lind, Tyson Miller, Beck Willems, and Tony Moser each drove in runs during the inning.

Miller earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Bethany Christian. The ace went five innings, allowing four runs on six hits, striking out eight and walking one. Willems threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Preston Stutzman took the loss for Elkhart Christian Academy . The righthander surrendered 11 runs on eight hits over four innings, striking out two and walking one.

Elkhart Christian hosts Harlan on Thursday this week. Season record falls to 2-8.
