Boys Varsity Soccer · Brown to Play for Moody


Elkhart Christian Academy is pleased to announce that Riley Brown has signed to play soccer at Moody Bible Institute. Riley is the son of Ben & Amy Brown.

Freshman Year: Named ECA’s Newcomer of the Year, named to the NISC All Conference team and received an invitation to the Indiana Elite North/South game

Sophomore Year: Named team captain, made the NISC All-Conference Team and received an invitation to the Indiana Elite North/South game.

Junior Year: Named team captain, received ECA’s Eagle Award, and received an invitation to the Indiana Elite North/South game.

Senior Year: Voted team captain, named ECA’s Most Outstanding Player, received his 4 year letter award and was once again invited to the Indiana Elite North/South game.

Riley has also played soccer for the Elkhart County United Soccer Club where he was a member of a state championship team and a state runner-up team in his career, there.

Riley has also been a member of our boys basketball program where he was named Most Improved during his sophomore year.

In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Riley earned Academic Honor Roll his freshman and sophomore years, was a small group leader his junior and senior year and has had many teaching opportunities within the children’s and youth ministries at First Baptist Church in Elkhart as well as within ECA’s Wednesday chapels.

Richelle Viront, Athletic Director of Elkhart Christian Academy, says, “We are proud of all of Riley’s accomplishments, but are most proud of his desire to follow after the Lord. He has displayed a genuine love for the Word of God and has expressed his intention to follow the Lord’s calling into full-time ministry. I am convinced that Riley will impact future generations for Jesus and soccer will be just one avenue he can use.”
