Skylar Biddle has signed her national letter of intent to play volleyball at Bethel College. Skylar is the daughter of Sherrie Coburn.
Some of Skylar’s athletic accomplishments in high school are:
Junior Year: Named ECA’s best offensive player as she led the team with 249 kills and 89 aces.
Senior Year: Named ECA’s best offensive player bringing in another 233 kills and 67 aces, voted by teammates to be one of the captains of the varsity team and was nominated for the ICGSA All-State team.
In her 3 years of varsity experience at ECA, Skylar finished her career 5th all-time in kills with 617, 2nd all-time with 208 aces, and 9th all-time with 606 digs.
In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Skylar has participated in band, choir and made Honor Roll all 4 years.
Richelle Viront, Athletic Director of Elkhart Christian Academy and ECA’s former volleyball coach, says, “I have thoroughly enjoyed coaching Skylar the past three years. She is the epitome of hard work, determination and the ‘never-quit’ attitude. I am proud of how she has quietly led her teammates and regardless of all her abilities and accomplishments has always promoted team and never made anything about herself. She has always put the team first, even when it required more work from her. I am excited to see how God uses her at Bethel and beyond!”
